The School for Allied Health Professionals Labs is a unique state-of-the-art laboratory facility, which focuses on continuing education. It provides access to a unique O.R. learning environment, which is able to host a variety of Bioskills and Wet labs. The facility also gives a great apportioning for product and instrumentation demonstrations for health care professionals both locally and globally.
A primary goal of the School for Allied Health Professionals is to provide leadership in the areas of technology development, physician training, and other medical professional training in the area of minimally invasive applications. Our facility consists of innovative mock surgical training labs, which allow health care providers to be trained by experienced personnel. The labs will be partnering with such companies as AMS, BARD, Depuy, and Johnson & Johnson to introduce the latest surgical procedures for care providers and physicians nationwide. They will conduct both Bioskill labs as well as Wet labs, distinguishing our labs from other training institutions and surgical facilities. This facility will introduce physicians to minimal evasive surgeries, which will enable them to be competitive in this growing industry.
Additionally, our goals are to provide a facility for health care providers to learn advancements techniques and to share their unpredictable O.R. setting. Our biggest goal is to make sure their equipped to be able to train and develop to reach their highest potential, not only from a skill standpoint, but also to the highest level of professionalism.
The development and application of new, minimally invasive medical technology promises to be one of this century's most exciting innovations. Treatment and diagnostic techniques that invade the body less than conventional methods includes surgical instruments, techniques, gene therapy, pharmaceuticals and their delivery, navigational tools (image guidance), interventional devices (stents, catheters, trocars, etc.), and robotic and computer applications.
The School for Allied Health Professionals was organized in March 2006 by its founders, Nora Flores and Dr. Manny Pecana. This is a state of the art training facility unlike any other in the United Sates. The school is unique in training health care providers for productive and rewarding careers as Allied Health care professionals.
The school is approved and
licensed by the Texas Workforce Commission and is an American Board of
Surgical Assistants approved training facility.
